Kyal and Kara are designers, renovators and creatives known for making beautiful, considered homes feel achievable.

Their renovation journey began over 18 years ago when they purchased their first home together. With Kyal having recently completed his carpentry apprenticeship and Kara finishing her university studies in Physiotherapy, the couple spent their evenings and weekends transforming the property themselves. What began as a personal project soon revealed a shared passion for renovating and creating thoughtful, functional spaces.

Today Kyal is a fully qualified builder, bringing extensive construction knowledge and practical expertise to each project, while Kara later went on to formally study design at the International School of Colour & Design.

Over the years Kyal and Kara have been involved in more than 35 renovation projects and gained national recognition through appearances on the reality television shows The Block and Reno Rumble along with regular contributions to Network 10’s The Living Room.

Alongside their renovation work Kara regularly contributes to interior design magazines and runs a successful online store. While they primarily focus on renovating and designing their own projects, Kyal & Kara share their knowledge and experience across multiple platforms to help others feel more confident in their own homes – offering practical design insights and showing how thoughtful, well-considered changes can transform the way we live.
